Wild Blackberries

Yesterday a friend of mine called me that she want a blueberry bush to plant in her yard. We are in the farm that time but we come back home to get the blueberry bush in our little nursery. I saw many stuff crawling inside the nursery. There are wild strawberries, wild grapes, and wild blackberries. The picture below was the blackberries. Hubby said that it was edible and tasty too. Anyway, i cannot eat all of it because in that time that will be ripe our blueberries also will be ready to be picked. Last week of this month will be the harvest of our blueberries in the farm...

Oh I love blueberries than black berries. Black berries tend to be sour and has bigger seeds though. I just turned some bluberries last Saturday as syrup topping for a homemade cheesecake :) Hope you can visit my Green Monday page too.

The only problem that I see is getting rid of the blackberries. Any root left in the ground will grow. Left alone for a couple of years the blackberries will return healthier than before. Here in the west part of Washington state the blackberries are a never ending battle.
